Although this is a great idea and is cheap as well we not always recommend you doing this because it has some cons as well.
When you will use an alternative soap in your dishwasher, it will create foamy suds. There will be a lot of suds in your dishwasher.
These suds will fall on your floor after overflowing from the dishwasher. These will make both your dishwasher as well as your floor dirty. You should keep your dishwasher as much clean as you can so that it could clean dishes better.

However if sometimes your dishwashing detergent is out of order and you have to wash a lot of dishes, you don’t need to wash them by hands just use alternative soap detergent in your dishwasher and do the work.
But you should not make a routine always to use soap in your dishwasher because it is not good for your dishwasher machine.
Make Dishwasher Detergent Alternative Soap
Now we tell you the method of how you will use soap in your dishwasher if you do not have a dishwasher detergent.
■ Put a few drops of any liquid soap in the soap slot of your dishwasher.
■ Fill the resting place of soap slot with baking soda
■ Close the soap slot and run the dishwasher
Your dishes will come out as clean just like your dishwasher detergent.
Before using any other detergent must read on the label and always follow the instructions given by the manufacturer.
Problems of Alternative Dishwasher Detergent
If you do not follow the instructions of the manufacturer and use any unspecified detergent like we have discussed above, you can caught up in two big problems.
■ Firstly there will be a lot of suds in the soap container of your dishwasher that will come out uncontrolled making your floor and dishwasher dirty.
■ These suds can damage the internal working of your dishwashing machine and can create a lot of problems in it. It will damage pipes and cause clogging in the filter.
Remove Suds of Already Used Ordinary Soap
If you were not aware of the disadvantages of other liquid soaps and have used them in your dishwasher and now you are facing the problem of suds that are caught up in the container and are still continuing coming out. Don’t worry we have a solution for it.
■ First, lay down a towel so that no bubbles fall on your floor.
■ If many of the suds are run away then try to wash and clean your dishwasher fully.
■ Clean the Dispenser
■ Use one cup of white vinegar to lower the bubbles
■ After cleaning and removing maximum bubbles run the dishwasher once again.
■ If bubbles disappear completely then good otherwise repeat the process.
